"Together we can face any challenges as deep as the ocean and as high as the sky."
A photographer and a Young Living Essential Oils lover + educator that resides in central Iowa. A fierce lover of Jesus and my little wonderful family: my husband Tyler and our big eyed pup Nollie. I approach life as a fun, silly, loving, and a-little-bit awkward woman who values the beauty found in everyday life.
I created this space as a place for me to share these loves and passions; what makes my heart beat and colors my days alive. I love how our thoughts can be translated into a light-filled photo, a cup of coffee warm in your palms, the ocean alive and rolling, or a sequence of words strung together into paragraphs. I would like to bring a little bit of that here; the realness, the rawness, the beautiful, the heart stirring, gut aching, shakey nervousness, slow and pensive, wild and thriving thoughts and moments; LIFE.
An entrepreneur & an engineer, wife & husband. We have been married for over 4 years, & have developed a heart for marriage & showing couples that it’s important, & SO worth fighting for! Marriage is hard work, sacrificial, & life-altering. It’s romantic. It’s an adventure. And amongst all the changes that happen in each other’s lives and hearts, are the day to day journeys that join to create a shared life together.
They are oils found in plants and are used to heal and protect these plants within their environments. When these oils are extracted with great care they can aid in keeping our bodies healthy & happy; the way they were intended to be. We have overhauled our health thanks to these babies, and we are forever grateful.
Tyler and I set a goal on our honeymoon to create a new adventure each year. Instead of buying material gifts for each other, we would put that money towards new experiences and seeing places neither of us have visited before. To create and live out stories that we can one day pass down to our grandchildren. Because exploring new places is so refreshing and inspiring for us. Making intentional time to be with each other, falling in love with the world and each other all over again. It’s like a recharge in our marriage!
It started while planning our own wedding. I purchased my first DSLR camera, and instead of shooting on Auto, I forced myself to learn how to use it manually. I wanted to perfect this new venture, so I set up photoshoots with everyone I knew, and I began reading blog after blog about starting your own business. A fun little hobby/project that turned into a passion. A brightly burning, soul-filling, I-kind-of-want-to-cry-just-thinking-about-it passion.
A passion to document stories of people, of places, and things.
You see, the passions of wellness and photography; have led to other passions. Passions like being futuristic. Dreaming big. Being innovative. Passions like teaching and leading others to do the same. It’s a blessing this passion of mine. One that is called being an entrepreneur. And I am so excited to share it with you.
If you’re wondering more about how to run a business, I offer coaching sessions that can be purchased here.
